Beta terms
Play fair. Keep it friendly.
These simple terms govern the ChampDiff public beta. By using the beta, you agree to follow them and the community rules.
Acceptable use
Use the beta as a game, not a weapon
- Choose a display name and chat messages that follow the community rules.
- Do not attack, overload, scrape, reverse engineer for abuse, bypass limits, automate guesses, or disrupt another room.
- Do not impersonate ChampDiff, Riot Games, another player, or an official tournament.
- Do not use the service where doing so would violate applicable law.
Hosts can remove players from their room. ChampDiff may restrict access needed to protect players, infrastructure, or the project.
Beta status
Expect change and occasional downtime
The beta is provided as available for testing and fun. Features, content, room state, and access may change or stop without notice. Do not rely on ChampDiff to preserve match history, chat, rankings, or any other data.
To the extent allowed by law, the beta is provided without warranties, and ChampDiff’s maintainers are not responsible for indirect losses arising from beta use. Nothing here removes rights that applicable consumer law does not allow us to exclude.
Ownership & attribution
An unofficial fan project
Champion names, art, lore, and other Riot Games material belong to Riot Games or its licensors. ChampDiff is not endorsed by Riot Games and does not grant you rights to reuse that material.
ChampDiff’s original software, copy, and visual design remain with their respective creators. A room code or invite link gives access to a temporary game room, not ownership of the service or content.
Changes
When these terms change
The effective date at the top will change when these terms materially change. Continued use after an update means the updated terms apply to later beta sessions.
